Il Borgo di Olive
OUR HISTORIC UMBRIAN HILLTOP RETREAT
Borgo: a small Italian village built around a castle, usually dating back to medieval times and deeply rooted in the local history, culture, and landscape.
Il Borgo di Olive
Beyond your expectations
Creatively restored by a team of talented artisans, Il Borgo di Olive is part of a historic Umbrian hilltop community encircling an 11th century stone-walled castle. Our setting is made for a special occasion — whether it be a wedding or a simple get-away with friends.
The romance of the medieval is matched by the breathtaking views of sunsets and the countryside. Hand-painted detailing throughout the restoration makes Il Borgo di Olive a visual delight, both inside and out.
Experience the beauty and culture of Umbria…only 90 minutes from Rome—yet another world away.
Celebrate with Us
In a unique historic setting
Hold your wedding, celebratory reception, or community affair in the shadow of our historic castle. Our Ristorante di Olive has two beautifully hand-painted dining spaces, two terraces for receptions or outdoor dining, and a kitchen set up for catering. The ristorante is open only for catered events with a minimum of 30 people. We would be pleased to recommend local dining options for individual guests or smaller groups. Your out-of-town guests will be delighted to stay in our 11 unique suites and two cottage apartments.
For our guests and visitors, light lunches and evening appetizers of salads and salumi and cheese plates, wine , beer, prosecco and cocktails will be available at our Enoteca Kabille, situated in the center of the Borgo.
We also hold our own special events…and everyone is invited, townspeople and visitors alike. Sign up for our Il Borgo Eventi! bulletins and follow us on Instagram to keep up with what’s happening.
We’d love to welcome you to Il Borgo di Olive. Let’s celebrate!
